The Communities of Knowledge (CoSav) are forums for dialogue and exchange bringing together IRD staff and partners around major societal challenges.

Each CoSav is proposing a roadmap setting out its challenges, priority themes and activities for 2022-2023. The activities of the CoSavs can be broken down into nine main categories of action proposed and implemented by CoSav members on a participatory and voluntary basis.

Transforming food systems to make them more sustainable and resilient is a priority promoted by many institutions to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. This requires commitment from everyone and disruptive action.

Research into food systems is relatively recent. It requires resolutely interdisciplinary skills and approaches. Thanks to the diversity of its expertise and the wealth of its partnerships, the IRD has the capacity to co-develop solutions-oriented research to meet the sustainability challenges of food systems in developing countries.

This site allows you to:

  • provide news from CoSav on sustainable food systems
  • give visibility to the actions undertaken and our roadmap
  • share common indexed resources
  • map CoSav members
  • allow members who are unable to attend all the events organised to make a wider contribution.
